To all police and city functionaries in Bavaria: re: concealment of Jewish businesses. Many reports in recent time indicate that ... attempts are being made by Jewish owners of firms to conceal the true nature of their businesses, using various tricks. It was repeatedly found out that Jews send out goods not under their own name, but using the name of an Aryan employee who consents to the use of his name. Agents of Jewish firms present their goods more and more as coming from an Aryan business. The distributors sell the goods to clients under their own name, so as not to have the original Jewish firm named. The persons to blame for this situation are not always only the Jewish owners and their helpers, but sometimes the Aryan clients. They often request to have the goods sent from a neutral sender, because they want to buy it under any circumstances. I aim to put a halt to such attempts at concealment, and will work in co-ordination with the economic police and the appropriate economic authorities. Larger operations have to be withheld at the moment (intervention in economic life). Cases where there is doubt are to be reported to us immediately. Reports on the situation and the measures that are to be taken are to be submitted by 10 December 1936. The reports are mandatory.
